How can I become a member of the Mighty Mites?
All members of the Mighty Mites are members of both the Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons along with the Osman Shrine. Once you have considered your membership, an application for membership can be submitted with a recommendation from two current members to be submitted to the Mighty Mites membership for approval.
What are membership expectations?
Members of the Mighty Mites are expected to support the unit by becoming an active member with the goal of supporting The Shrine Hospitals for Children.
During the year, how many events do the Mighty Mites take part in?
While we know the importance of being an active member, we also understand that your family and career need to come first.
An average year will include a schedule much like the following:
- St. Paul Winter Carnival Parade.
- Osman Shrine Circus.
- Midwest Shrine Convention.
- Monthly Meeting.
- Practice - walk thru in the winter and on car practice in the spring.
- Parade Season will include 15 to 20 parades. Members are not expected to make all parades.
What will my membership cost?
All members will pay an initiation fee of $150.00 after having their application approved. The initiation fee will cover the following:
- Mighty Mites shirt.
- Mighty Mites baseball cap.
- Mighty Mites winter coat.
- First years dues of $30.00
Do the Mighty Mites get together socially?
The Mighty Mites plan a social event each month throughout the year. Our events are planed from a simple Boyz night out to fun family events as well. You can expect pool gatherings, BBQ's, home party's, card nights and maybe a evening with a fine cigar.
Do I have to buy a car?
While many of our members have purchased their cars, it is not required of new members. If sometime in the future you decide to purchase your own ride, we will help with the process.
